A Busy Summer

And we are just getting started.

Hello and happy September! What a wonderful time of year in New England.

So what’s new at Coastal Measures?

Coastal Measures LLC is now Coastal Measures Inc.

None of the services we provide will change, but being a C-Corporation gives us more flexibility to expand, and one of the key ways to do that is

A funding round

The key to building a unified ocean intelligence platform is that it needs to serve, well, everyone. This means we need to grow our team to continue serving our growing client base as well as reaching new customers and industries who will benefit from CUMULUS. So, cards on the table, we are raising $1.2M to hire 3 new technical staff members and a half-time marketing and sales consultant. There has been some amazing interest from passionate supporters already (~60% filled), so if you are interested in learning more, please reach out ASAP — [email protected]

Blue & You Event

General Dynamics Electric Boat tour in the Westerly, RI Education Center

I was honored to join a Coastal Resilience panel of dedicated ocean stewards ranging from oyster farm owners to composite manufacturers. Janet Coit, the former NOAA Fisheries Director, was the keynote speaker at the event, which was hosted at the Westerly Education Center. We were luck enough to get a tour of the Electric Boat training warehouse afterwards.

CUMULUS for Aquaculture

We are excited to announce that the UNH lead NSPIRE engine with NSF has entered the final round! Building on the recent addition of water quality sensors in CUMULUS, Coastal Measures was selected as the data aggregator and analytics partner for this project that could significantly expand and improve the safety of aquaculture in New Hampshire and beyond.
