Summer Means Go
New sensor networks, new features, and a lot of time on the water

Happy Summer!
A lot has happened since we last wrote. Our team has doubled in size, we’ve opened an office in Kittery, Maine, and are closing a successful funding round at the end of this month. Along the way we were featured on the Green Light Maine television program, hosted a session at Startup Maine, were selected as a participant for the the SeaAhead Pilot Showcase, earned a spot in the LeadingCities Accelicity Top 100 cohort, onboarded 2 new hardware vendors, installed a sensor on an oyster farm, and have kicked off 2 municipal pilots. The short version: It is go time.

A Homebase in Maine, with Coffee
Coastal Measures has taken up residence in Wallingford Square, in the heart of the Kittery Foreside. You'll mostly find the team heads-down developing, but the space is worth a mention: a picturesque old bank building with 15+ foot ceilings, sitting right above Lil's Café — a dangerously good perk. This space let’s us set up a homebase for our expanding operations in Maine, including a conference room for hosting regional partners and colleagues — come say hi!

What’s new in CUMULUS?

CUMULUS is about monitoring and having access to all your coastal data resources in one place, so we reinvented our landing page to reflect that. On sign in, you can see how many sensors are live, the ‘heart beat’ that is your collective data points flowing in over time, your notifications, your pinned sensors, and all your teams.
Speaking of teams, CUMULUS Teams have become the focal point of the platform — a way to not only build out custom coastal sensor networks, but to share it in real-time with a group or publicly, . To make CUMULUS Teams even more useful, we are excited to roll out several new ‘editions’ of CUMULUS Teams to deliver industry specific capabilities and tools.

Most recently, we launched the Ports & Harbors Edition with real-time vessel tracking, automated environmental alerts, and AI generated auto-reports from YSOK, the AI agent built into CUMULUS with real-access to all your data — check it out today! Coastal Resilience, Aquaculture, and Insurance, are in development now, coming soon!
